In this project, our team at Drivescape Paving has completely changed the position of an existing driveway in Killester, Dublin. The pathway area became the new driveway and vice versa.
Our first step was to remove the existing surfaces and extend the new layout. We created new opening in the wall and closed the old driveway entrance and built new pillars with cappings.
We laid down new 804 stone base with a hardcore membrane underneath. We installed new block paving borders for the driveway using 400 x 100 mm classic rustic flags. The same flags were also used to created new footpaths connecting the pedestrian entrance and the front door with the new driveway.
Finally we topped the driveway with 14 mm Ballylough Golden gravel chippings and raked it smooth.
