A new patio gives your garden a proper place to sit out, entertain or just enjoy a bit of fresh air. It turns wasted space into something useful, and adds a neat, finished look to the whole plot.
In Kimmage, many gardens are compact, so a well planned patio makes good use of the space available. Drivescape Paving work with concrete, natural stone and block paving, fitting the patio to suit the house and how the garden is used.
There’s no single right patio, and the style you choose shapes the whole garden. We lay all the main patio surfaces, and we’re happy to talk through what works best for your garden before you commit to anything.
Natural stone — Indian sandstone, limestone and slate — gives you natural colour variation no two slabs share, and suits older and period properties particularly well. Vitrified porcelain is the modern alternative: dimensionally perfect, frost-proof and very low maintenance, which is why it’s become so popular on newer builds.
There’s more to a patio than slabs, we also lay concrete and pattern-imprinted patios. Whatever the surface, the finish is only as good as the base beneath it — proper excavation, a compacted sub-base and correct falls so water runs off rather than sitting, with correct jointing so nothing works loose over time.
Along with patios, we offer new driveways in Kimmage.
